Fear is something that is universal, everybody has them, but you can face your fears, and get over some of them. You will find common ones like snakes, and spiders, and uncommon ones, like the fear of bright light. I am going to share some of the main ones I dislike the most. Maybe you’ll agree with them, or think that it’s stupid, but these are my top 5 fears:
One phobia I have, is the fear of sharks. I am sure you can see why if you imagine looking in to a white sharks mouth! I have always been a little scared of sharks, and they make me quite jumpy, making this one of fears
I don’t know why, but I have a weird fear of a tarantula coming out of the shower head, and jumping on me. Small spiders don’t bother me that much, but when looking at a bigger one, they look pretty scary. First of all they look really weird. With 6-8 eyes, a hairy body, and skinny warped legs, I shiver just imagining one crawling on my back. Big spiders are not a creature I would like to run into.
Ever since the age of 5, I have been terrified of heights. As I kid, I went to the Grand Canyon, and it really messed me up. Ever since that trip, heights have been a fear of mine. When I climb ladders, or are standing anywhere high, my legs get shaky, and I freeze up. Heights are one of my worst fears, and it is really annoying.
2.) Public Speaking
We all know about this fear. Speaking in public will be one of the most nerve-racking things you will ever do in your life, and you will easily find yourself sweating, and being very jittery. I can relate with this. Public speaking is one of the most scary things you will do in your life, and is something everyone is affected by.
I have a dog at home, and I constantly worry about him. I don’t know if you have a pet, but if you do, you probably understand the worry when your pet is not at your house. Whether fearing your death, or a family members death, death is a very common fear in me. I am sure you can relate to this, and the horror you can imagine when thinking of this. This is one of the most common fears in the world, and is one I fear.
BTW: If the #1 fear is public speaking, and the #2 fear is death, does that mean most people would rather be in the coffin than reading the obituary?
